Talis Park Golf and Country Club
Considered one of Florida's top 20 golf courses by Golf Digest, the Talis Park Golf Club is one of only two golf courses worldwide designed by Greg Norman and Pete Dye. Measuring 7,200 yards from the championship tees, the course has a slope rating of 137 and a 73.1 USGA rating. In addition, there are five sets of tees to accommodate golfers of different abilities.
All holes except number 14 have water hazards, and this course has both uphill and downhill holes along terraced hillsides and throughout the numerous communities of Talis Park. Reminiscent of the Tuscan countryside, there are many waterfalls and stone bridges, and the magnificent clubhouse resembling a Tuscan castle rises up as you approach the 18th tee.
The Talis Park Golf Club also offers 9 acres of practice facilities. The two short game areas, practice greens, and driving range are obvious inclusions, but the Trackman Golf Simulator is the primary attraction. The trackman uses Doppler-radar technology and video tracking to capture data from your swing, ball speed, dynamic loft, and club path. Armed with this data, you can improve your game and lower your handicap.
The Vyne House, Talis Park's award-winning clubhouse, combines 25,000 square feet of outdoor space with 25,000 square feet of indoor space. A phenomenal fitness center with Precor equipment, a Pilates studio, and a spa is found in the clubhouse area. Also, a resort pool provides poolside food and beverage services.
Talis Park Golf Club is a members-only course. Homes range from upscale condos to spacious estate homes over 8,000 square feet. The boutique gated community of Talis Park captures a Tuscan feel with its architecture and style.
Golf memberships are often included in a resale home, while some new construction comes with a golf or social membership.
